The Sandcastle Lady

So nice to have Sophia and her friend Sofia building today!

Anna 8 and Jack 5, from Delmar, NY teamed up with penpal Piper 6, from Gwynned, PA, and made a great castle

My son Brendan 31, came out of sandcastle retirement and carved this mysterious castle

My castle today

Lots of friends, cousins, son & daughter in law, and a new grandchild on the beach. Had to start from scratch, since we had more castle destroyers.

Father Jones, from St. Jude the Apostle, led a small congregation on the public beach in Lewes, and blessed the Bay.

After teaching kids, I had time to finish my castle today.

The sun came out, and kids came, to build castles!
Kai 4, Lucy 9, and Finn 7, are friends with Skylar 9 – all from Washington, DC.
They worked together all day, making this castle, and others – lots of creative ideas, and great kids to work with.

I finally made a castle today, but look forward to a new one tomorrow.

There was a light breeze from the East today, and lots of kids, wanting to learn how to build castles.
Caroline 10, and Ryan, 7, from Fairfax, VA, worked together, and made a nice castle. They had to hurry and run off the beach, because they were scheduled to go parasailing!

Eleanor 7, and Anna 4 – almost 5, from Columbia, MD, enlisted Elliott’s help (7 yrs old)from Drexel Hill, PA, and made a loveLy castle.

Elliott 7, and his mom Audrey, from Drexel Hill, made the biggest castle on the beach today!

Lots of kids with parents came to visit me today on the beach. One of my visitors was a former sandcastle kid, now grown up, and a successful man. It’s so good to see these kids grown up!
