Yesterday, I was home, due to the rain. It was raining this morning, but cleared, and I went down to the beach at 2pm, and built a castle.

With wind coming onshore, Sunday was a gorgeous day. Here’s my Sunday’s castle – it’s rightside up, because I tricked the website by saving my Facebook post’s photo. I win (today – but who knows what technology will put me up against tomorrow?)

Jamie 6, and Damian 2 (but says he is 6) were good students, and built a castle together.  They were in Lewes visiting their grandmother who came here from Baltimore and rented a house for their dad, uncle and cousins.

I am so happy to be back on the beach, and meeting and teaching kids.

I am packing up, getting ready to come to the beach on Monday, July 31. I hope to get on the beach by Tuesday – see you there!

I will be in Ireland this Saturday, til July 23, and know the castles there will be an inspiration for sandcastles.
I’ll be back on the beach August 1 – September 18 – can’t wait ?

When I turned the corner onto Market Street, the North wind was strong and I was very happy to feel it! Friday and Saturday were extremely hot and humid, and the SouthWest wind had ushered in biting flies. I got to the beach late (1pm) but stayed till 6 o’clock, and finished the day’s castle!
People ask me which castle is my favorite – and my answer is usually, “Today’s.”
