Built only 2 levels today, because of biting flies, and hot sun that dried out the sand quicker than I could carve! But it always feels good to build, no matter how much.

All my company had gone home, and I walked up to the beach, and built this castle (always makes me happy to build something!)

(Although at 4:30am this morning, I saw lots of stars up above!)

- the wind is pushing the tide farther – this is the first thing I saw, coming over the dunes today at 4pm
After rain last night and today, I walked down to the bay about an hour before high tide.
Labor Day/Monday Sept 5, 2011 – cloudy and uncrowded
- This family is one of my favorites – nice children, and a very sweet mother, practicing on the side of my castle.
Promising rain and cloudy, our beach wasn’t crowded at all.
