Building in August & September on the Massachusetts Street beach, in Lewes, Delaware
Thanks be to God I am able to teach others, and to build sandcastles on this beautiful beach!
B is for Baby Lillianna (2 years old), who sat upon the castle that her dad, Jesse, was building for her. B also stands for their name, Bewley! They came to visit Grammom and Grampop Bewley who live down here year round.
It was 2 years since I saw Rowan and Issac, but they remembered all the Sandcastle making lessons I taught them, and put the techniques into good use! Rowan is 13, and his brother Isaac is 8. They came from North Harford, Maryland, to visit their grandparents, who live in Lewes. (And it makes me happy to see their creation, with the bridge and tower leading up to their castle and a cobblestone road – very nice!)
Stephanie, the mom of the family sculpted a sea turtle🐢, and Greg, the dad, was going for a stairway to heaven 🎶🎵
When the thunder rumbles, I scramble to get off the beach!
Josie is 9, from Kensington, MD and Washington, DC, and was very intelligent, and great to talk to!
Lucy built this one, but didn’t get a picture taken.
It did feel good to get so much done, after yesterday’s storm.
sterday
He was very proud of this creation ( I thought it resembled a Narwhale.)
Late in the day, combined with a strong South East breeze, saw the collapse of my castle (about 3 minutes before I was able to take a photo! Will try harder today & try earlier!
