Back on the beach today (after a rain day)

Saturday means new families and kids

Unfortunately, we still had all the kids’ castles wiped out last night.

My granddaughter, Susie, and I walked down to the beach after church tonight, and castles were half there (better than gone, yes?)

It was so nice to have our friends from Ottawa back, Mila, Roxanna, and Vera.

Mila has begun English classes in school, and is the oldest of the 4 girls in her family. Her finished castle is in the photo with my castle.

Susie has turned out to be a perfect sandcastle partner!

So sad to see every castle destroyed, but we re-built (again.)

I’m hoping that the family whose kids were the destroyers will be leaving in the morning.

We had great kids building today – that’s a good thing!

Roxy – 7 1/2, Kelly – 11, (me), Charlie – 6, Lanie – 8 1/2, Gracie – almost 3, Ruby – 11. Rachel – 9. All worked on a group castle; wanted their photo taken with me (thanks, Mom!)

away a day; back on the beach

After going home yesterday, it was good to be back on the beach today, and have lots of kids building castles.

Finn – 8, from Washington, DC, with cousin River – 7, from Falls Church, VA, made and decorated a castle together

Ruby – 11, from Frederica, with Gracie – almost 3, and Kelly – 11, from Felton made an awesome mansion with walk way

apologies to Alexa – 8, from Chatham, NJ (she was clipped by photo) hope she’ll build again! , with her brother Justin – 5, from Chatham, NJ, with Trevor – 6, from Scarsdale, NY – worked well together on a castle with lots of steps

Ariana – 6, from Andover, MA worked with her Dad, Okolo on a wonderful castle

Sarah – 7, worked with her grandfather Jerry and her dad on a beautiful castle.

Language barrier? Nyet!

Dimici and Alexandria brought their wonderful family to Lewes from Ottawa. I met them last year, and although the children’s language is Russian, we got along just fine!

Alex, Logan, and their parents Mike and Erin came back one last time before driving back to Baltimore.
