All my company had gone home, and I walked up to the beach, and built this castle (always makes me happy to build something!)

Just a small castle on my birthday, September 10
Was only on the beach a short time, but had time for a small castle.
cloudy, but a good day for building

What a nice surprise, to see the sun, after hearing the forecast this morning.
(Although at 4:30am this morning, I saw lots of stars up above!)
What a difference a day makes! Tues Sept 6, 2011
- the wind is pushing the tide farther – this is the first thing I saw, coming over the dunes today at 4pm
After rain last night and today, I walked down to the bay about an hour before high tide.
Labor Day/Monday Sept 5, 2011 – cloudy and uncrowded
- This family is one of my favorites – nice children, and a very sweet mother, practicing on the side of my castle.
Promising rain and cloudy, our beach wasn’t crowded at all.

The beach wasn’t as crowded, for a holiday weekend, as it has in years past. (thank heavens.)
