Great day/ great kids/ A sisters game
Alexandra, Sophie, and John and their team castle
The sandcastle lady is stumped. I took the picture of these kids and their castle on my camera, same setting as all the other photos I took today, but my website says it exceeds the limit, and won’t insert it.
I can tell you that these three worked well together, and the castle was big (maybe that’s the reason?)
EUREKA! (not the vacuum cleaner.) I found a way around it – and here they are (I hope!)
A strong North East wind pushed the tide way up today
Haley, 10 years old, from Lewes, with her castle. She was a great student, and helped teach her cousin, Peyton.
Peyton, 7 years old, from Lewes, alongside his castle. Peyton was a good listener, and came back to say thank you for the sandcastle lesson.
(photo would NOT turn, for some reason!) June, 5 years old gave her mom instructions on building this castle (and her mom, Sue really got into building.)
Iris, 7 years old, said it was a 5 hour drive to Lewes that should only have been 3 hours, from Harrisburg. She did a nice job, and built her castle by herself.
Here’s my castle today, surrounded by water.
This is the East side of my castle, being beaten down by the tide.
sandcastle kids recognized me in my disguise
Rain and clouds over the beach on Thursday, so the Sandcastle Lady transformed into Gardening Lady. (Dirt, rain and sweat completed my disguise.) I wish I could say it was easier to pull weeds, but here in Lewes, when crab grass rizones spread, they can get to be 2′ long! I got a lot done, but there’s more to go. (I’m not hoping for a bad day, though!)
