Jack and I came to the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, in Rehoboth, for 4 days, to celebrate our Anniversary (December 20, 1975.) The weather has been amazing! When we arrived on Sunday, December 13, it was 70 degrees! (No castle building this trip, however!)
Here is a picture taken from our balcony at sunrise.

A year and a half ago, I painted sand, water, and some sea shells on our brand new oil tank, and put fish decals on. My painting held up well, but the decals lost their color, and had started to peel.
I peeled them off, and painted my own fish on, instead. I also added a few more shells. Am I done yet? I’m thinking about it – I may add some more ‘stuff’ – but not today.

I love this old boat my neighbor put out, with his wooden pussy-cat and owl! I decided it needed a little text to go with it, and of course, the jar of honey and money wrapped in the 5pound note!

I find things to do, even at the end of summer.

Finished painting my neighbor’s white plastic flower barrels with beach scenes. It was fun painting (except for having to practically lay down on those sharp clam shells.

There was a little sandcastle sculpture on my porch when we got back – from Jameson (12 years old, from Toughkennamon) his signature on the bottom read: to the sandcastle lady, from Jameson.
What a sweet surprise – I don’t have Jameson’s contact info – but hopefully, he’ll see this post, and know how much I love it – and his whole family <3

We did go home for the birth of our seventh grandchild – Jack Henry Klim was born on Thursday, September 10th, 2015, and he shares my birthday! (I’m just 69 years older than he is.)
When we came back to the beach Saturday, September 12th, I spent the next week working on the garden and the yard. I worked all day, and just never got to the beach (although all of the days were perfect beach days!)
I worked this morning, pretty much finishing the yard work; scrubbed up, and went to the beach at 1 o’clock, and it really felt good to build this castle!
Today’s castle – I remembered how to build one, after being away a week!

I have to go home for the birth of our #7 grandchild. Hope to be back soon ~

The wind seemed like it could not make up its mind. It had some strong gusts out of the East, and then, would turn around, and come out of the South. The water was very calm today.

I meet such wonderful people on the beach! Today, I visited with Max (2 1/2 yrs old) and his mom, from Washington, DC. Max was born in Nashville, TN – so his mom and I had a starting point of talk (I was wearing my Reelfoot Lake hat!)

A breeze was still on the beach, thankfully – but had shifted a little, coming from the South East. The beach wasn’t too crazy, despite the holiday, and we stayed till almost 5 o’clock. It was great to see Jody’s family of beautiful daughters and her granddaughter, Piper (4 years old) who was happy to make some trees for my castle!
There also was a mysterious anonymous sculpture on the beach, next to my castle, which everyone loved! (I suspect three castle makers of the day before – Erik (10 years old) and his dad, and friend, Will (also 10) all from Silver Spring, Maryland.
