Today was a good beach day, with a nice breeze out of the East. Ramona and Rochelle stopped by on their walk💕 George also stopped to chat 💕 Alicia was my neighbor on the beach today 💕It was great to have an awesome crew to help making the huge drip tree at the back of the castle – Wesley, Wyatt and Walt, Alexandra and Savannah, Bryce and Reese💕

With 60% chance of more rain predicted, I am taking the day off from building a sandcastle (and doing some baking. I am baking a favorite recipe – chocolate banana cake.💕🥮💕I’ll be on the beach tomorrow, God willing.🙏💕

Wind onshore, from the North East kept the beach cool today.Ethan 6, and Mason 5, came with their grandmother Mary, from Kentucky ,to learn how to build sandcastles💕Evelyn 10, and Jack 8, brought their Mom and Dad, I showed them everything I know, and they borrowed one of my sand molds, planning to build,!💕Kim came to take a selfie with me, to show her mom the castle💕Here is Castle #13 (5 hours – 60 scoops of sand, using a 1 gallon bucket, 13 gallons of water, and lots of packing and shaping, before I even start to build.)I love building them, and love sharing how-to, and tools!

Wednesday brought wind from the West, And a stomped castle from yesterday. I came to the beach late today; had some problems at home, but all seems to be well now.Not so, on the beach – someone decided they should destroy my castle I built yesterday, and did their best to stomp it down. But I am persistent, and hope springs eternal. I did my best with the sand that I could scoop up. I wasn’t alone today, had sweet visits from Henry, Isabella, their Uncle Kurt, dad Eric, and their grand mom Laurie💕 and a late day visit from Olga and Andrew, whose name I took for the Village – Andrewville!🏰💕Here is Castle #12 today.

Thankfully, the wind was coming onshore, from the North East today, so there was a cool breeze all day!
Donna and Rae came for the first time today – so good to see them!💕Another first was Jen, my favorite person at Villa Sorrento! Jen brought her daughter Anna, and her granddaughter Maddie. Jen’s mother Jane and step father George came later, too.💕Lois brought her two grandsons.💕it was great to see Deb and Erin.💕 Arriving by boat, was Laurie, with her grandkids, Henry and Isabelle. I taught her soon Eric 30 years ago(!)❤️

Sunday on the Massachusetts Street Beach in Lewes💕🏰. The 9th castle today. Kathleen and Ed, from Wayne “found” me💕Phyllis, her son David, and daughter Ruby (almost 9)from the Philadelphia area, came to talk💕Claudia stopped by to say her granddaughters were here earlier in the month, and saw one of my castles💕Jim and Leila, from DC came to chat💕AND I “snuck up” on Beanie, to say Good morning!

Beautiful Saturday on Lewes Beach! So nice to see Kevin and Jen Johnson, Liam and Avery. Seble came with her niece Meklit, and her brother Teshager. Very nice to see Carol and Beany Denlinger (even though Beany snuck up and scared me!) Another surprise was seeing my sister, Dawne and niece Keely Farrell! I taught Miriam (6) while her dad Chris and brother Solomon (9) watched.

Very thankful to be able to be on Lewes Beach, and to be able to build a new Castle each day. This castle today is the 7th of the summer.
No students today, but many people stopping by.
Very nice to see Colleen and meet her friend, Darlene. Happy to see Linda Mouradian for the first time this summer. Nancy brought her granddaughter Nova, and Nova’s dad. I met Finnegan (5), his dad Ryan, and mom Erielle; as well as Bill, son Micah and granddaughter Zoe.

Thursday on the beach – nice onshore breeze. Lessons for Amelia and William; Maria brought Bea and Lilly🩷whose imaginations were put to use, to create unicorns! Molly, Harvey and Lila stopped to say hi (friends from last year.) Mary and Al stopped for a chat; Eva, from Germany talked about castles on the Rhine; Nova (4)’s grandmother brought her over; and Zadie (8)’s mom brought her, too.
