Another late in the day castle for me

A late in the day castle today for me.  But I like to work slowly, no matter what time I get there.  Making castles (or sandcastling, as my friend Doug Smith calls it) is so relaxing (once you carry the water, and pull up the sand!)  It’s a tactile, artistic effort, and it builds your body, while it soothes your soul <3

a dog castle? yes!

Angelina 8, from North Port, NY teamed up with Adrienne 8, and her brother Riley 6, from Gaithersburg, MD, and made a dog face castle today.

Got to the beach earlier today

My daughter, Michelle and grandson Riley went to the beach a little after 11 today, so I got there about 11:30 today (I haven’t been getting there till after 1 or 2 lately.)

I was able to finish a castle, AND sculpt an alligator, and it felt so good!

My small castle today

We had a destructor, who flattened castles sometime after building yesterday and today.  New castles do ‘spring up’, but it’s very difficult to pull up the sand again to the same height.
