Monday, 8-11-25. Castle #2.

Talking and teaching today, as much as building the castle!
Henry (5 11/12) from Richmond, VA, with his castle and dragon cave
Henry (almost 6) and sister Bel (4) from Richmond, VA with their castle. Bel says there’s dragon poop all over it!

Today, I met karsyn (4), brother Bryson (1), their mom (Kailee) and grandmom Gigi (Julie) from Georgetown, DE.

Looking forward to 5 weeks of castle building in Lewes, on the Massachusetts Beach.

I will arrive the afternoon of saturday, August 9th (and hope to be building on Sunday, August 10th. I will be there till Friday, September 12th (leaving early Saturday, September 13th.)

I sure hope to see a lot of my old friends from The Market Street beach, as well as new friends I met in the last 2 years on the Massachusetts Street beach. If I have not met you yet, please stop by, and I’d love to meet you!

One of the castles that I made in June, on my one week’s stay.

This is the 5th castle I made this week

I met a lovely family today, from Hagerstown. Beth came over first, and the Bernadette came with grandchildren Nora, Charles, June, and Lou. Bernadette’s non-profit business is Prime Time for Women.

Back to the beach for a week!

it was so good to build the first castle of the summer! Carrying buckets of water and scooping sand are rewarded with hours of carving! 🌞

Sad News

Jack, my husband of 49 years, died on November 2, 2024, after a month in the hospital. I am thankful the hospital let me stay with him the entire time.

I do hope to be back on Lewes Beach, at the Massachusetts Dune crossing, August 10 – September 12.

Sadly, leaving Lewes a week early

Yesterday morning, we decided that Jack’s CHF needed to be seen by his doctor, because of his trouble breathing, and the increased swelling in his feet and legs, and yesterday, his hand. We packed up, with much appreciated help from our friends, Audrey and John, and I drove us home to Village Green. We will see Jack’s CHF cardiologist Monday, after labs are done.
I am grateful that we had 4 of our 5 weeks here, in Lewes. I ask, and will be grateful for prayers for Jack.
