beautiful day on the beach today

It was sunny, but there was a brisk breeze out of the West. A lot of people were on the beach today. I spent about 3 hours today, and enjoyed every minute.

3 levels of a castle, but I hope to get back tomorrow and do some more

Castle finished before supper

I was able to add 2 levels and a village to yesterday’s castle before it was time to go home.
Met a lovely lady, Judy, and her brother Ellis, who told me of their family’s history, in Georgia. It’s wonderful that their farm in Georgia has been in the family since 1810. Meeting people on the beach is a very nice perk of building castles.

I can never decide which photo I like
I like the sunlight in this one

a short time on the beach today

Well, actually, I was there from 2 till 5, but talked more than I built (can you imagine?)
Hopefully, I’ll go back tomorrow, and add another level or two, if the top holds up!

between all the talking, I was able to build a pretty good sized castle

A cold, rainy day – is it the forerunner of Fall?

I think this coming Saturday, September 21, is the first day of Fall. I’m hopeful that we will have a few more weeks of ‘summer’ weather, though.
I plan to be on the beach for as much time as I can these next 2 weeks, as long as the weather ‘holds’ at 70+, with a little sunshine.
Although it will be sad to leave the beach, I do look forward to going ‘home’ to our new home (we moved in late July, and then packed up for the beach, so there is still much to do there!) Also, a wonderful new neighbor will be waiting for us – Mr. William McCall – a very young 87 year old, whose attitude toward life is filled with SUNSHINE. I won’t miss the beach, as long as his sunshine warms us <3

A little cooler today, but good castle building weather

My cousin, Bron, from Bromyard, Herefordshire, England was here today, and said she’d love to be on this website, but for me NOT to reveal her age. All I’ll say is that she’s just a year older than I am. (Did you all know that my birthday was this past Monday, and I turned 66?) Bron helped me carry water and pile up sand. She also packed a mold, but needed a little help getting it unmolded. The castle turned out lovely, and she wanted to be in the picture – here she is!

yesterday’s castle, adding a village

It was another beautiful day today. The weather said we’d have wind from the Southeast, but it was coming from the North, onshore, and cool.
Yesterday’s castle was crumbling, from the sun and wind, but still standing – so I wet it down, and added a village.

A village, added to yesterday's castle
